Inversions at Yoga Shak

Although we should practice yoga with non-attachment, non-attached to specific results / accepting of all that unfolds, it’s a challenge not to look at an avid handstander without feeling a tad envious.

Introducing inversions to the yoga practice really brings depth, playfulness, and the inevitable humility and grace needed to fall all 54278 times before you nail your pincha.

I’m fortunate to offer this reoccurring Inversions workshop at Yoga Shak.  I’ve learned so much from it.  It’s always a blast and I love seeing how people interpret this practice.

We approach inversions from a step by step perspective, working with accessories, the wall, and partners.  The goal is to give people the tools and confidence to practice inversions independently.

May 13, 2018 I have the opportunity to team up with one of my favorite teachers and good friend, Vanessa Shakti Viera.  Vanessa is a senior yoga teacher with a big personality and this unique rawness about her.  She is unapologetically herself, and through her authenticity, her light, her love for others, she is a big inspiration both on and off the mat.

I am so honoured to join forces with my girl!  If you’re in the Montreal area, I hope you’ll join us for an afternoon getting upside down.
